‘Hell Now, Heaven Later’ – A Message of Hope

In a world where music often serves as a lifeline, ‘Hell Now, Heaven Later’ is more than just an album; it's a profound message of hope. Damez began writing the album in 2020, when he encountered a series of life-altering challenges that tested his resilience and inspired him to pick up the pen. The pandemic, alongside a tumultuous breakup, the loss of close friends, multiple car accidents resulting in neck injuries, surgical procedures,  a rollercoaster of emotional turmoil left him at his lowest ebb. This period of upheaval coincided with his Saturn Return – and for Damez, it became a pivotal moment of reckoning, where he had to confront the demons within and embark on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and rebirth.

The title encapsulates Damez's journey – an honest acknowledgment of the present's challenges and a resolute belief in a brighter future. It is a testament to the healing power of music as Damez lays bare his vulnerability, inviting listeners to find solace and strength in his words.

Damez describes the process of creating the album as therapeutic and healing for himself, and he hopes that his honesty, transparency, and vulnerability will offer solace to others facing their own trials. Through each note, lyric, and melody, ‘Hell Now, Heaven Later’ becomes a beacon of light for those navigating their own turbulent times.

A Musical Evolution

Damez's previous projects showcased his versatility as an artist and his fast-paced choreography-heavy visuals and performances set him apart in the music industry. However, as he ventured into "Hell Now, Heaven Later," he’s breaking free from the confines of expectations.

The album embraces a wide spectrum of musical styles, including Trap, Boom Bap, Conscious Rap, Emo-Rap, and R&B/Soul. Damez's lyrical prowess shines brightly as he takes listeners on a journey through his life, chronicling his childhood, upbringing, mental health struggles, and love life with vivid storytelling.

But what truly sets this album apart is Damez's remarkable vocal range. He showcases a side of his artistry never heard before, with songs that display his vocal dexterity, backed by saxophone and piano melodies that add depth to each composition.

Prepare to join Damez on this emotional and musical journey when ‘Hell Now, Heaven Later’ drops on October 25, 2023!
